Tõstamaa Craft Centre
is located in Tõstamaa parish – a pictoresque area in southwestern Estonia bordered by the Baltic Sea. The inhabitants of the local community have always valued their dual identity inherited from their peasant and sailor ancestors. Handicraft made in the centre is also inspired by rural and maritime traditions. Old techniques and unique patterns are kept alive and new styles are often invented to give classic elements a modern twist.
Tõstamaa Craft Centre is open throughout the year and offers weekly workshops both for children and adults. They include basic handicraft principles, making Estonian folk costumes and ceramics as well as crafting for business purposes.
On September 16, 2020, the President of the Republic of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid visited the Tõstamaa Handicraft Center. It will be remembered as the sunny and warm day.

This summer, from 9 May to 15 September, the discovery game “Discover Tõstamaa” will take place in the Tõstamaa area.
The game offers everyone planning a holiday in the Tõstamaa area the opportunity to discover local places, enjoy active leisure activities, visit summer cafés, learn about local services, and experience the forests, lakes, and seaside locations of Tõstamaa.
Tõstamaa Handicraft Centre is one of 15 businesses taking part in the discovery game and offering stamps.
Tõstamaa Handicraft Centre is a community-led creative centre where handicraft and folk costume courses are held for children and adults, and where a ceramics workshop also operates. Local handicrafts, services and the centre’s products can be ordered and purchased year-round from Tõstamaa Handicraft Shop, located at Sadama tee 1.
