Heritage Culture Festival "TÕSTAMAA ÕHETUS"
Tõstamaa Craft Centre, together with its community and friends, has joined forces to host a festival in July. It will be an exciting three-day journey along the paths of heritage culture, where we can knit, craft, create, and be inspired together.
Workshops are available for boys, girls, men, women, beginners, and advanced participants - for everyone who loves knitting and crafting.
This year we’re are offering a special opportunity to explore roosimine, i.e. inlay knitting, in greater depth. Over the course of three days, you will learn alongside a master of roosimine, studying the different techniques used in Tõstamaa’s traditional patterned gloves. By the end of the workshop, you will have made a small clasp purse.
This is an opportunity to experience Tõstamaa, the people of Tõstamaa, and our heritage culture.

SCHEDULE
A three-day inlay knitting workshop (Sadama tee 1, Tõstamaa), July 16-18. 2026
Over the course of three days, you will have the opportunity to learn various techniques used in making of Tõstamaa roositud gloves. Working alongside a master of inlay knitting, you will create a small clasp purse for yourself.
The lunch break is from 2:30–3:30 p.m., and participants may choose their own place to go for lunch.
At the Tõstamaa Community House (Varbla mnt 3), you can drop in whenever it suits you, enjoy good company, and continue working on your unfinished knitting project. Together with a local roosimine master, you can share the joy of knitting, exchange ideas and tips, and at the same time enjoy delicious cocktails and mocktails from Baar Väljas.
